Ultra Casual to Business Casual: These WFH looks will keep you comfy and chic.
No fuss. No muss.
Just functionality and fashion to take you through the latest leg of working from home during the pandemic.
WFH ONE: ULTRA CASUAL
I’ve been obsessed with long jackets lately, especially jardigans. Jardigans are a mix of a jacket and a cardigan. They’re an easy piece to throw on to make a statement, and when you’re working from home, they can provide comfort and warmth. Think of these as a step up from your robe, and a distant relative of the jacket you’d thrown on for the office.
I’ve kept it simple with a black tee underneath as well as a comeback piece that proves how much we’re all leaning into the 90s: cargo pants. Cargo pants are great when you want to get out of sweats, but aren’t totally ready for jeans. They’re casual, but they allow you to check the “I put on really clothes today” box.
Finish this simple look with your favorite white sneakers and a headband to keep your hair out of your face (gotta love when fashion and function meet!).
I’ve chosen the Vejas sneakers with the black stripe to play into the black stripe of the jacket. Even when working from home, you still need accessories as well, so layer up your favorite gold, silver or mixed metal necklace combination. This Tasha initial necklace is one of my favorites right now to add personalization and personality to any outfit.

WFH TWO: DRESSY CASUAL
Monochrome dressing will forever be one of my favorite ways to put together outfits, and it’s an easy one for you to try in your own closet. While it may look like this top and pants were made for each other, they weren’t. When two pieces are the exact same or similar colors, they often times fall in sync effortlessly.
Try creating this outfit with separates (i.e., pants/tops, sweater/skirt, jacket/dress…). The key to making this look (and any look for that matter) is to start with one piece. This is necessary to avoid overwhelm.
Choose an item in your closet that's made of a color that you wear often. You're likely to have a mate that is of the same or similar hue.
For example, if you pick navy, find another deep blue that’s similar.
When pairing shoes and accessories to your monochrome look, use these elements to brighten or darken your look. For this cognac top and pants, I’ve added cream and white elements to give it daytime energy.

WFH THREE: BUSINESS CASUAL
On dressier days when you find yourself in Zoom meetings, a blouse is a good choice. It’s important not to be too overwhelming on screen, so sticking to solids and creating interest through a top/jacket combination is the way to go. For this look, I’ve chosen the analogous color combination of green and blue. Analogous colors sit next to each other on the color wheel, so they naturally work well together.
For the shoe, I’ve paired a teal loafer, which has both blue and green in it to bring both elements together. When you’re using a look that is all color, blue jeans are a great staple item to finish the look. These AG Farrah high waisted dark blue jeans are a client favorite for their flexibility, comfort and work-appropriate wash.
If you’re well acquainted with the Zoom audience you’ll be meeting with during the day, you can add a bold statement earring to finish the look. If not, just add studs. This will signify your attention to detail without being distracting. For this look, I’ve added studs that play into the seafoam cardigan.
